  2. Verizon Unicorn… I mean iPhone

As provably most in the tech industry know, when ever it comes time for CES the biggest “Show Stopper” is somehow always taken by the one company that doesn’t even go to CES. Apple. Tuesday January 11th there is a event with Verizon and Apple that is rumored to be the announcement of the Verizon iPhone. Now this is the biggest rumor in all of the technological wonderland. So if we do see this unicorn of technology, tomorrow it will put an end to the 3 years of endless rumors we have faced from Engadget, WSJ, New York Times, Bloomberg, and many others. I personally think that it’s coming tomorrow, and will be watching the reports at Live.TWiT.TV, and reading the live blogs at Engadget and gdgt.

Times for the event tomorrow is as followed:

    08:00AM - Pacific   09:00AM - Mountain   10:00AM - Central   11:00AM - Eastern

  5. Dish Network VS DirecTV

I’ve recently switched from Dish Network to DirecTV, and I have found that I have had the feeling I’m getting more for the money compared. I know that Dish Network has a cheaper starting price than DirecTV, but when you start to add the other cost (as in HD Cost DVR and Extra Equiment Cost) you start to notice it is about the same (for the package I have). I have the Premium Package, HD Package with HD Extra, Fox Soccer PLUS, And NFL Sunday Ticket and NFL Sunday Ticket To-Go. I also have the Protection Plan for extra insurance and DVR service with Whole-Home service, and the CINEMAplus On-Demand Pack. Now I was cut a good deal on all this because they treat people switching from Dish Network well, so don’t expect the amazing package as I got. But I’m getting way more for the money. Being a huge NFL Fan and Soccer Fan I love I can get all the game I want to see in HD. DirecTV has full-time HD RSNs, witch Dish Network does not yet offer. Now there is a few things that I miss. I can no longer get CCTV like I could before without getting the international dish put in. Also NFL Red Zone was just part of my package. Now I have to buy the NFL Sunday Ticket to get it witch cost over 300 dollars a year to get. But really when you compare the two companies they are really close for it to matter. If you like more sports you go with DirecTV and if you like more Cable Networks in HD (Other Than Sports) Dish Network has more. Over all I’m very happy with my service. BTW the reason I left Dish Network was over some equipment disputes and the Fox Black-Out that happened.

  11. Recently Bought A New Mic…

I recently bought a new microphone and I have to say I’m really liking the quality and professional sounding recordings that I can produce with it.

It is a USB powered cardioid condenser microphone, that can put out 16-bit, 44,100 Hz, Mono Sound. And does a great job a really delivering the sound. It comes with a very long USB cable around the 10 foot range. It also comes with in the box a tri-pod and a pivoting stand mount for 5/8”-27 threaded stands. Also includes a soft leather pouch and a standard 5/8”-27 to 3/8”-16 threaded adapter. It weighs in at 13.2 oz and is about 6.38” inches long, and works with the Samson SP01 Sider Shock Mount like I’m using mounted to an On Stage Adjustable Desktop Mic Stand, with a Musicians Gear 6” Pop Filter. Audio Sample In Next Post.
